Children of the Divine Order
‘Mundane’ magic is indirect and unfocused and usually low powered, though ways exist to augment it. It has a wide range of possible effects and so is often considered far more useful than divine magic.
Unlike divine magic intention is given form through a ‘ritual’ practice in mundane magic and each desired effect has it’s own ritual forms. Each form of magic allows the one experienced in it to learn, develop, and use these rituals.
Functionally all mundane magic has two skill checks:
- A roll to the mundane skill in that form of magic to make sure the magic was formed correctly.
- A roll to the Will skill to see if the user was successful in controlling the magic if it was formed correctly. For offensive uses of magic this is the attack roll.
