Children of the Divine Order
Children of Sobek
Characteristics and Aspects
Sobek was associated with crocodiles, pharaonic power, fertility, and military prowess, but served additionally as a protective deity with apotropaic qualities, invoked particularly for protection against the dangers presented by the Nile river. Sobek was considered a violent, hyper-sexual, and erratic deity, prone to his primal whims.
He is associated with the Nile crocodile and is either represented in its form or as a human with a crocodile head. His children have a decidedly reptilian look and are often scaled with sharp teeth, reptilian eyes, sharp claws, and other features.
Sobek’s children have enhanced strength and endurance. They have access to magics involving crocodiles and combat. They also have a minor ability with protection and cloaking. They reluctantly follow the Oath of the Veil, though they resist it regularly.
Sobek’s children are aggressive and animalistic in nature, prone to often wild shifts of mood. In a Freudian view their ID is closer to the surface and has a greater pull on them, so they give into their urges.
